Which Version of Teams Am I Using?

To identify which version of Teams you are using, old or new, select the ellipsis button (three dots) at the top right of the application and select Settings. In the Settings menu, select About Teams at the bottom. Under the Version section, you will see your version details. 


New Teams

If you are on the latest version of Teams, follow these steps:

  1. Quit Microsoft Teams by right-clicking the Teams icon on the taskbar and selecting Quit.
  2. Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key + R.
  3. In the Run dialog box, enter the following path, and then select OKC:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe
  4. Delete all files and folders in the directory.
  5. Restart Teams.

Old Teams

If you are not on the latest version of Teams, follow these steps:

  1. Quit Microsoft Teams by right-clicking the Teams icon on the taskbar and selecting Quit.
  2. Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key + R.
  3. In the Run dialog box, enter the following path, and then select OK%appdata%MicrosoftTeams
  4. Delete all files and folders in the directory.
  5. Restart Teams.
